Your data, in plain words.

iTwin Engineering is the name we work under. The company is AJTVIN INZHINERING DOOEL, in Skopje, North Macedonia, run by Andrej and Filip Janev. We decide what happens with the data on this page, which makes us the "controller" in data-protection terms.

We collect nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics, no ad pixels and no scripts from other companies; fonts and images come from this domain. The live border waits on the homepage are fetched by our server from Balkan Borders and then shown to you, so your browser talks to nobody but us until you click a link to another site.

Two things are saved in your own browser's storage, on your device: your light-or-dark choice ("theme") and an unsent contact-form draft ("itwin:draft"), which is removed the moment the message is sent. Neither leaves your device on its own. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes both.

Cloudflare hosts the site and handles every request. Like any host it sees your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser's details, in order to deliver the page and to block abuse.

The contact form asks for a message, your name and an email address. Company and the kind of help you need are optional. It also sends the time you started typing and a hidden field that only bots fill in; that is how we tell people from bots.

Our server at Cloudflare turns your answers into an email and sends it to the two of us. Nothing is kept on the site: no database, no copy. Email sent to hello@itwinengineering.com takes the same road: Cloudflare routes it straight to our inboxes.

Our inboxes are Gmail, run by Google, so your message ends up stored with Google, which may be outside the EU, including in the United States. Google's privacy policy covers how it keeps mail.

We use what you send to reply, to scope a project with you and, if we work together, as part of that project's record. In GDPR terms the basis is that you asked us to (steps before a contract, Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering and keeping track of who we have talked to (Article 6(1)(f)). To stop abuse, the form accepts five messages a minute per IP address; that counter lives at Cloudflare and resets within the minute.

Your message stays in our inboxes while we are talking.

If nothing comes of it, we delete the thread within a year of the last message. If we work together, it stays with the project's records for as long as the project and our bookkeeping obligations require.

Two companies process data for us: Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, sending the form's email, routing hello@; United States, servers worldwide) and Google LLC (Gmail; United States). See Cloudflare's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

We are in North Macedonia, outside the EU, so if you write to us from the EU, your message leaves the EU because you chose to send it to us. Nobody else gets your data. We do not sell it, share it or use it for advertising.

You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, get a copy, or object to our keeping it. Email hello@itwinengineering.com and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in North Macedonia that is the Agency for Personal Data Protection, and in the EU the data-protection authority of your own country.

You never have to give us anything. Without a name and an email we simply cannot reply. We make no automated decisions about you.

We link to LinkedIn, GitHub, Upwork and balkanborders.com. Those sites have their own policies. Because of how this site is set up, they learn only that you came from itwinengineering.com, not which page you were on.
